John Stamos and 'Glee' Were Meant to Be

John StamosWe got a sneak peek into John Stamos's love of music with his Full House character Uncle Jesse, who was the lead singer in his very own band, Jesse and the Rippers.

Now, with his current role being on the popular television show Glee, which, as we all know revolves around singing, his musical talent will truly be put to the test, playing a too-cool-for-school dentist/love interest for Emma.

But, I don't think we need to worry about John keeping up with the likes of Matthew Morrison and Lea Michele, judging by his musical resume:

  • He appeared on Broadway as the Emcee in Cabaret, Nine, and How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.
  • John is proficient at the drums, keyboards, guitar, bass, and various percussion instruments.
  • He tours with the Beach Boys, playing the drums, and he sang lead vocals for their song, "Forever," on their '92 Summer in Paradise album.
  • He starred in Broadway's Bye Bye Birdie and won a Golden Icon Award for best actor in a musical.
  • Stamos performed the Billy Joel song "Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)" on the 2006 charity album Unexpected Dreams -- Songs From the Stars.
  • He's producing the Beach Boys' musical Good Vibrations.
  • Stamos performed with John Fogerty on this past April during one of the Tampa Bay Rays Post-Game Concerts, rotating between the drums & bass guitar throughout the concert.

What now Mr. Schue?

Are you excited to see John Stamos on Glee? Think he'll be good in this role?
