A woman on the internet is cracking up after she discovered that the Dairy Queen that made her birthday cake took the design in a slightly different direction than she had intended. Kensli Davis thought she was getting a Moana-themed cake for her 25th birthday, but apparently someone at the ice cream chain had misheard her mom's request and instead she got a cake that was a bit more green.

  • Davis posted the hilarious mix-up on Facebook, explaining that someone perhaps misheard the cake design request.

In a post she published on her Facebook page, Davis explained that her mother had called Diary Queen to request a Moana cake for her 25th birthday -- you know, like the Disney movie?

"I haven’t had a chance to tell y’all about our experience this weekend with my birthday cake," she wrote in the post, which has been liked more than 14,000 times and shared more than 13,000.

"So my mama called and ordered me a cake telling them how much I loved Moana. (Because really I do)," she continued.

  • But it seemed that someone misheard and instead gave her a cake that was "marijuana"-themed.

Yup, you read that right. Someone at the chain must have heard her mom wrong because instead she got a cake that was more pot than princess.

"Well needless to say these people thought she said marijuana 😂😂😂" she added.

  • Don't kid yourself, however. Davis wrote that she still ate her cannabis-inspired cake.

Decorated with a cannabis leaf and a very adult-friendly "My Little Pony" character, Davis confessed that they didn't let the cake go to waste.

"That ice cream cake was still good though 🤷🏻‍♀️" she wrote.

Although not everyone is laughing. Fox News reported that the employee who made the cannabis cake, Cassandra Walker, was fired for the offense, which she argued wasn't even her fault.

Walker claimed it was her manager who took Davis' mother's call, and it was the manager who misheard the request and gave the approval to make the cake with the druggy-theme.

"The manager stood behind me while I pulled the images off the Internet," Walker said. "She walked by as I decorated the cake. As I boxed the cake up, she was the one who walked it up to the front."

Store officials explained that they immediately apologized when the cake was picked up.

"Our cake decorator designed a cake based on what she thought she heard the customer order. When the customer picked it up and said it was not what she ordered, we immediately apologized for the error and offered to redesign it the way she originally intended. The customer said it was fine, paid for the cake and left,” said Al Autry, one of the owners of that Dairy Queen location.

But unfortunately, the blame for the flub was placed on Walker's shoulders. The mom was fired on Monday, her birthday, and it is not clear if her manager was also fired.

"It’s not funny to me," she said. "This is back-to-school time. I have two little girls here. I have a car that needs fixing. It’s not funny to me."

Dairy Queen did offer the mom her job back Thursday, but she declined because she believed she was treated unfairly throughout the misunderstanding.

"It was a mistake," she said. "It could been considered a learning experience. I would have accepted that. I would have accepted being written up. But to be at this job for almost a year and not have a write-up, not be in trouble, and to just be let go because of mistake, it’s not funny to me.”
