Mom Says Deputy Had Her Perform Sex Act on Baby & Recorded Her Fulfilling His 'Fantasy'

In a crime that even has law enforcement reeling, a Louisiana sheriff’s deputy was arrested and accused of coercing a woman to perform a sex act on her 1-year-old son.

  • “In my 16 years as chief of police, I have never seen anything so disgusting and sickening,” St. Gabriel Police Chief Kevin Ambeau said.

At a press conference, Ambeau indicated that the mother, Iyehesa Todd, told investigators she was coerced into the act by Iberville Parish sheriff’s deputy, Shaderick Jones, who told her it was "his fantasy,” according to WAFB9. In exchange, Jones allegedly told Todd that he would not arrest her for an open warrant she had for a traffic ticket.

“For someone to have that type of fantasy, he’s a sick individual,” Ambeau said.

  • Ambeau said that Jones had videotaped the incident on his cell phone.

Authorities were contacted by a female who had received the video via Facebook, according to Ambeau. After identifying Todd as the person in the video, she was arrested and then implicated Jones.

Authorities, using the GPS from Jones' patrol car, confirmed that the two-minute video was taken at Todd’s home.

According to The Advocate, Jones had just finished his shift. “He had been off duty for 30 minutes,” Ambeau said. “Still in uniform.”

  • Jones was charged with possession of child pornography and principle to first-degree rape, Ambeau said at the press conference.

Todd was also arrested and charged with first-degree rape and incest and booked into  the Iberville Parish jail.

During the press conference, Ambeau disclosed that he had contacted Homeland Security about bringing federal charges against Jones, although he did not give further details.

  • Jones had worked for the Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office since 2015.

At the press conference, Chief Ambeau urged anyone else who had questionable contact with the deputy to come forward, indicating he suspected there might be other victims. Jones was fired from the department as soon as the criminal charges were filed.

According to Ambreau, the 1-year-old is being cared for by a relative, and the case is being turned over to the district attorney’s office.
