We're still reeling from Mama June's arrest back in March, but this new update certainly doesn't sound promising. June's lawyer has quit because he's been unable to get ahold of the reality star mom and her man ... which isn't exactly ideal. As people dealing with drug and domestic violence charges, they're definitely going to need representation.

  • TMZ is reporting that June Shannon and boyfriend Geno Doak's lawyer, George B. Bulls II, has officially left the case.

Apparently, Mama June's lawyer filed a request to be taken off the case, stating that she and Geno Doak haven't responded to his several attempts to contact them, and that they've "failed to comply" with the attorney-client agreement they have.

The judge signed off on the request, meaning that Mama June and her boyfriend will now need to find a new lawyer.

  • June and Geno's legal troubles first came about when they were arrested in March, resulting in the most unflattering mug shots ever.

They were at a gas station in Alabama, when an unnamed person called in a "domestic incident" to police. TMZ reported that cops found a needle on Geno, as well as a glass pipe with white residue in Mama June's pocket ... and a white substance in June's car, which she reportedly admitted was crack cocaine.

June was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, while Geno's charges included felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and domestic violence/harassment.

Yep -- sounds like they're going to need a lawyer for all this.

  • Mama June's reality series Mama June: From Not to Hot continues to air, though it's not clear if the show will cover this particular arrest.

June's daughter, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon, has spoken out about the incident, sharing a statement that aired before a March episode of the show. In the statement, she thanked fans for their support.

"We're sharing our story in hopes that it helps another family and I sincerely want to thank our fans for always being there and loving and supporting us," she said in the video.

  • It's hard to say what will happen next for this family, but hopefully, June and Geno are looking for a new legal team.

Something tells us they're definitely going to need a good one.

    ... like, yesterday.
