Kid's Book Authors Who Never Reproduced

Who knew? I just learned from MomLogic that some of our most beloved children's book authors never had kids.

1. Beatrix Potter wrote the Tale of Peter Rabbit and 23 other children's books. She was isolated as a child and had difficulty interacting with other kids—she preferred animals instead.

2. Dr. Seuss (Theodor Geisel), who wrote The Cat in the Hat and other whimsical books, married twice, but never had children.

3. Margaret Wise Brown, the author of Goodnight Moon, didn't have kids—and said she didn't like them.

While their genes may not live on, their stories and illustrations will live on in the the hearts and minds of millions of children for years to come.
