Toddlers are a great many things -- funny, exasperating, adorable, exhausting -- but let's face it, they're also pretty weird. Not only do little kids get obsessed with the strangest things, they get obsessed ... like, irrationally, unendingly obsessed. And if you think your toddler is the only one to fixate on something completely bizarre, believe us, he's not alone.

From unlikely TV personalities to particular playthings, the tots in this slideshow have some pretty surprising passions! (Then again, if you're a mom, there probably isn't much that surprises you at this point.)

The Littlest Belieber

"My 2-year-old daughter, Britton, is the youngest 'Belieber' in existence. Since she started speaking, she has only asked for Justin Bieber, all day, every day. She knows his sound, his face, and can identify the song in every video by sight. It is completely bonkers. The best part is that now she understands what Siri and Alexa do (on the phone and in the house, respectively) and asks them for Bieber, all day long. Her exact words are: 'Siri, play Jus Beeba Sooryay peas,' which translates to 'Siri, play Justin Bieber Sorry, please.'

Siri clearly does not understand her, which frustrates her so much she then throws the phone at me until I get the video on YouTube, at which time she starts baby-twerking and screams 'BEEBA!'"

"My wife and I are both in the real estate business. She is a full-time agent and I am a real estate business owner. From the age of 2, our son has been obsessed with attending open houses. It had gotten to the point where we would actually plan our route from his daycare back home as NOT to pass an open house sign.

If he did manage to spot an open house sign, he would spiral into a tantrum of epic proportion until we stopped and went inside. Once inside, he would study each room with great intensity -- as well as take the listing sheet on the property, which he would add to his collection of sheets at home.

His quirky obsession still remains to this day."

Neverending Halloween

"My 3-year-old son is obsessed with Halloween. My husband and I aren't 'all in' on the holiday, so I am not sure where his obsession has come from. He likes to watch Halloween songs on YouTube (one is called 'Dawn of the Dead,' which he likes to request in public, making us look like A+ parents) and walk around the house acting like a zombie.

In fact, we have about 50 drawings of skeletons (which are oddly accurate). We couldn't even get him to focus on Christmas stuff long enough to stop asking about ghosts and skeletons."

"My eldest (of 12) was terrified of the sliding glass doors to our balcony at night and also to one particular powder room. She was positive there was a reindeer in these two places. She could SEE the reindeer's reflection in the glass door and was convinced the powder room had a permanent reindeer occupant. For some reason, in her mind, reindeer were terrifying."

"My Teddy was simply obsessed with Shrek, so much so that he walked around holding a Shrek music CD, which well-meaning people would tell me 'was going to get scratched' ... as if I didn't know. I bought that CD a bunch of times. We watched the movies a ridiculous amount of times; one Halloween he was dressed as Shrek and so was my husband -- I got to dress as Fiona.

When he was about 3, at preschool he had to do a little project on what he wanted to be when he grew up. His answer was 'a donkey' (aka Donkey from Shrek) and the teacher told us it was the first time in all her years of teaching that she'd had a child want to be a donkey!"

Birds of a Feather

Hey, if you're gonna be infatuated with a particular type of animal (as most toddlers are), you can't go wrong with penguins. Lots and lots of penguins.
