The Pull-Ups® Potty Partnership is a personalized, comprehensive program that lets you partner with your child. It’s tailored to work with your kid’s unique personality, on their schedule and according to how they learn.

Potty training is a big moment – it marks a time when your little one becomes a big kid. There are some easy ways to support this big change and help encourage your child as you start your training journey together.

For one, it helps to remain consistent. When you take your kid out of diapers, keep them out! Pull-Ups® are more than a training pant; they’re a symbol to your child that it’s time to potty like a big kid. Going back and forth from diapers to training pants can lead to confusion, not to mention unexpected messes!

It’s also important to make the first time your child pulls on Pull-Ups® a special one – a promise that you’re in it together, and will work and learn together throughout your potty partnership.

From there, the Pull-Ups® Potty Training Partnership will provide you with tips, advice, and a comprehensive lesson plan based on your child’s personality.

The premise is simple: successful partnerships start with understanding -- knowing what type of personality your child has. As a parent, you’re probably keenly aware of your child’s unique personality: whether he’s grumpy in the morning, or if she’s a neatnik who hates messy hands. These behavioral tendencies apply to all areas of their personality, and that includes potty training.

For example, a very active toddler might be difficult to slow down long enough to train easily. A child resistant to change might cling to his
diapers for dear life. Or a fiercely independent type might not be motivated until she realizes that potty training is one more thing 'I can do by myself!' Rooted in Montessori education and Dr. Heather’s own research on personality types in young children, we’ve developed five toddler personalities that occur most often: The Puppy, The Owl, The Bear Cub, The Turtle, and The Squirrel.

By taking our brief assessment quiz we’ll help you determine which of these personalities your child resembles and provide tips on how to achieve success together.
