Target Is Dedicated to Helping St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®

This post is sponsored by Target.

For more than a decade, Target has supported the St. Jude mission of finding cures and saving children. Target’s remarkable dedication to the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® began in 1996 with the company’s commitment to build the hospital’s long-term residential facility, which was designed to be a home away from home for patients and their families. Since opening in 1999, Target House has been a place of comfort for more than 1,500 families as their children battle cancer and other deadly diseases at St. Jude.

Target continues to find meaningful and innovative ways to support the mission of St. Jude and help significantly improve the lives of St. Jude patients and their families. This encompasses a continuing commitment to raise the funds needed to maintain Target House, including securing in-kind donations from vendors to provide needed supplies; the dedication of additional resources to renovate the St. Jude School Program Presented by Target, which facilitates patients’ educational growth; and the coordination of multiple special events every year, including festive quarterly carnivals on the St. Jude campus that provide entertainment and joy to patients and their families.

Each year Target is a specialty partner in the St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign, which builds awareness and raises funds for St. Jude during the season that exemplifies thanks and giving to so many. It’s easy to get involved in the campaign. Target guests can purchase the limited-edition Holiday Bullseye® Plush Dog 2012 in stores or on beginning November 4, and 100 percent of the retail price will be donated to St. Jude. Target also supports the St. Jude Give thanks. Walk.™—a 5K walk that serves as the kick-off to the St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign November 17 in 90 cities nationwide.
