Toddlers currently relaxing in their miniature recliners may want to sit up and take note: 17,000 upholstered toddler chairs are being recalled. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that staples are falling out of the chairs and may pose a choking hazard or injury.

This recall goes way back! It's in effect for chairs sold between 2007 and now through online retailers including Amazon.com, BabiesRUs, Target, Walmart, Trendlab, and Seussland. No incidents have been reported. The chairs were imported by a company called Trend Lab from China. Keep reading for the full details.

I'm going to let you watch the video below the jump and, once you pull your jaw off of the floor, invite you to read on. That's right: I've just seen the most incredible portable crib/playpen in the entire world.

In short, the 4moms Breeze opens and closes with a simple motion. You touch the center logo and push down and the entire thing folds out with a whoosh. When you're ready to close it, you simply pull up on a blue ribbon and it slides closed in a second.

"Teen Mom" Kailyn Lowry tweeted something that sounded awfully familiar last night. "The cleanest room in my house is my 2 year old son's room. Probably because the things that belong in his room are throughout the house." Oof, too funny! And too true. I feel you, Kailyn. I feel you.

Don't you love how you create this adorable space for your child with a place for every toy, book, and sock only for that child to drag half of their belongings throughout the rest of your home? I know kids play everywhere -- and that's what we all want. But they do seem to leave a breadcrumb trail of toys all over, don't they?

Just when I've banished every last bit of BPA-containing plastic from our home because of the chemicals it seeps into our food and drink, it seems all the replacements are bad too. That's right, a new study says all those BPA-free products I thought I was so healthy buying are still leaking chemicals that act like estrogen. In fact, they may even leak more chemicals than the regular plastic products that contain BPA, the ones I just threw out!

The good news is no one knows if these chemicals are harmful. The bad news as a mom to a toddler is that they could be, and from snack containers to bento boxes to sippy cups, my kids are consuming out of plastic regularly. With BPA-free products, I thought we were okay, but now we're right back where we started when I first became petrified of plastic.

My son is only 18 months, but he’s a bit of a giant. The last time I tried sticking him in a crib, he looked like something out of “Honey, I Shrunk the Furniture” and, well, I felt kind of guilty. So back in the bed with us -- for more kicking, shoving, squashing. Maybe when he’s 2 I’ll sleep again.Because! Drum roll please ...He’ll be getting his very own grown-up toddler bed. When it comes to big transitional products for my kid, I’m the kind of girl who likes to stake out Buy Buy Baby and obsess over Consumer Reports way in advance. Here’s what I found out.

My daughter loves books and even though she's got hundreds to choose from, she invariably picks around 10 or so at a time that have to be read every day. That lasts a few weeks and then we move on to another 10.

That's why I love this do-it-yourself book caddy. I can keep my daughter's current favorites in the caddy, which will help keep her bookshelf and bedroom floor (which is usually strewn with books) a lot neater.

Famille Summerbelle has some of the most beautiful prints I've ever seen, like this print based on an original hand paper cut of Paris. It's a quirky take on all the arrondissements and attractions of the City of Light.

It also has prints of New York, London, and recently added one of the world.

I'm torn between Paris and New York.

And those Family Tree prints are awfully tempting.

Enchanted Tree; Cocoon CoutureI'm obsessed with this Enchanted Tree from Cocoon Couture (I've actually written about it before). Alas, at about $500, it's much too expensive to adorn my daughter's new room.

But that doesn't mean I have to give up on Cocoon Couture all together. It's got some just-as-cute but less-expensive decor options that might work:

Four Corners; Land of NodMy daughter's latest obsession: Hanging things.

She likes to put pictures on the refrigerator and then cover them with magnets. That's cute.

And the other day she told me she needed some tape to hang her pictures on the wall. That's not so cute -- especially since we're about to give all of our walls a fresh coat of paint, and I don't want her starting any bad habits.
