Even though she still has a few months to go before giving birth, reports say that Kate Middleton is planning baby number two -- yes, already.

While she had a horrible first trimester, you know, with morning sickness so bad it landed her in the hospital, apparently her pregnancy has been a piece of cake now that she's over that hurdle, which is one of the reasons she might not hesitate to give her first born a sibling sooner rather than later.

There are times when I'm driving with my children, and they're screaming at one another so loudly in the back seat I feel my brain cracking. One is yelling she's Thirrrrrrrrrrrrrrsty!, and the other says that her voice is making him nauseated and will I please pull over now. And then we hit a traffic jam, and they start trying to hit one another with the straws from the smoothies we had two days ago, and I'm convinced that no one should have EVER invented automobiles in the first place.

Other times, however, there's nowhere I'd rather be than in my minivan with my kids. I'm randomly struck by feelings of pure joy when we're all in there together in our own crumb-filled bubble, navigating our way through the town. Here are seven of my favorite times in the car with my kids.

The Friday Flag Salute at French Valley Elementary School in Winchester, California, is always special, but it became a once-in-a-lifetime moment for everyone present when a Navy dad surprised his kids with his homecoming from an overseas mission.

Lieutenant Commander Lionel Hines had been away on a 10-month deployment, his first in almost 12 years. And since he hadn't seen his beloved family in so many months, his wife wanted to make his return extra meaningful for their kids, who are 6 and 7.

A new survey conducted the U.K. shows that moms spend less on second babies, not that any of us should be all that surprised. To narrow in on things a bit, the survey found that one fifth of moms reported spending about £200 (about $300) less on baby number two than they did on their first child.

And I'm sure you can appreciate why babies who aren't the first in their families wind up with secondhand stuff.

I mean, it seems pretty stupid to shell out a ton of cash on brand new items when you already have plenty of clothes and baby gear that can be reused when another little one comes along. And yes, that's one of the reasons why moms who were surveyed report spending less dough.

Last week on a road trip to Disney, I was digging through the contents of the arm rest compartment for some tissues when I realized the old maxi pad that had somehow gotten stuck to my hand would have to do the trick. Plus it had wings, which made for an easy clean-up.

I looked at my mother and said, "We need to invent some kind of portable tool that has all the necessary mommy accoutrements to tackle any parenting task."

Because this was a long road trip and we were two slap-happy adults listening to a Bratz movie for the fourth time, we made a list of all the things said contraption would need.

At the "ripe old age of 46," Berry is expecting her second child -- a boy -- with actor Oliver Martinez, 47. The baby will be little brother to Nahla, 5, Berry's daughter with model Gabriel Aubry.

According to Berry, Nahla has been longing for a sibling -- but she hoped it would be a girl!

Giving birth can be a bit of a stressful experience, and that's why it's so important to have the support and comfort of someone you trust when bringing your baby into the world.

And two pregnant sisters from New Hampshire took that support to a whole new level when they delivered their babies just two hours apart and welcomed them in rooms right next door to each other in the maternity ward.

If the notion of them giving birth so close together isn't amazing enough, wait until you hear the lengths one of them went to in order to make sure the other's delivery was as calm and stress-free as possible.

They see how much we have been blessed with and how little so many children have and they want to share. We tell our children that would have to be something that is God’s will for our family, and we will see if it is. Our children love children, and we all do."
