Any mom who knows what it's like to chase after an endlessly energetic toddler can relate to the scare Kendra Wilkinson had last week: After a long day of running around the house like a wild man, her 2-year-old son, Hank Baskett Jr., passed out. Yikes! Don't worry, the little guy is okay -- in fact, he was already coming around by the time police and firefighters (called by Kendra) showed up at her L.A. home. Of course they took Hank Jr. to the hospital just to be safe, and that's where doctors told Wilkinson that Hank "suffered loss of consciousness due to overheating," which is apparently "pretty common in children, especially in hot weather."

Of course it's common! Toddlers just don't stop. Ever. My grandmother used to call little kids "perpetual motion," and that basically sums it up -- the average 2-year-old boy will keep on going and going and going until he falls asleep face-first in his dinner or, like Hank Jr., just passes out.

Honey Boo Boo has been called a lot of things since her small screen debut and I bet stylish has never been one of them -- until now. That's right, folks. It looks like the sassy pageant contestant may be going from country-bumpkin to city chic.

Watch out Suri Cruise! Alana is taking fashion cues from you and clearly gunning for your spot atop the kiddie style throne.

Awww! What do you get when you combine Kourtney Kardashian's oldest child, Mason Disick, and the cutest kitten who's ever walked the Earth -- Kim's new pet, Mercy? A squee-worthy moment if there ever was one, and insides that most likely just turned to faerie dust. Or purple unicorn poop. Or frozen yogurt.

Moms and dads who are vehemently against pets -- sorry, but this adorable little face is photographic proof that sometimes you have to bite the bullet and buy your kids an animal.

Practical jokes make me uncomfortable. I often get uneasy when people are made fun of, particularly kids. Especially if it's an adult making a joke at a child's expense. It's a form of bullying, don't you think? An adult heckling a kid behind their back is bad news. But an adult teasing a kid with a website and book devoted to making fun of just about every celebrity kid out there? Not cool at all. Which is exactly the case in Suri's Burn Book, Well-Dresed Commentary From Hollywood's Little Sweetheart by Allie Hagan, an adult who pretends she's Suri Cruise ... for a living.

Hagan's tumblr -- Suri's Burn Book -- with the subtitle "Just because you don't have a Ferragamo handbag doesn't mean you can't act like a child. (I'm looking at you, Shiloh.)" shows photos of celeb kids with sharp tongue commentary. Hagan isn't a mom, but if she ever does become one, I wonder how she would feel if there were a website and book dedicated to poking fun of her kid. She's harsh.

Because Brad Pitt is, well, Brad Pitt, I could probably be persuaded to agree with just about anything that came out of the man's mouth. However, I would actually agree with his recent comments about how being a father is tougher than being a stuntman even if he weren't Brad Pitt.

That's right, the father-of-six says he gets way more bruises playing Dad than he does doing stunts for action movies, like his new flick Killing Them Softly:

"Getting the kids ready for school is every bit as painful as anything I had to do in this film," he said, and I believe it -- I only have two kids, not six, and mornings are enough of a battle.

BUT there is one point I feel Mr. Pitt neglected to make: It's not like parents aren't stuntpeople already! We stare danger in the face a thousand times per day, pulling off some of the most challenging and complex moves ever seen (on- or off-screen).

Life under a microscope would be tough for any mom, but Jacqueline Laurita of The Real Housewives of New Jersey was dealing with a lot more than she let on while filming the reality show's fourth season: Her 3-year-old son Nicholas was diagnosed with autism.

Apparently Nicholas began to withdraw at about 18 months old, not responding to the sound of his name or looking up when someone entered the room. His speech and motor skills were regressing, too.

"We had no idea what was going on," Laurita told People magazine. Whatever it was, Laurita knew she wanted to shield Nicholas from the cameras until they figured his issues out. I can't how much more difficult her circumstances must have made this already difficult situation, can you?

Heidi Klum is used to wearing a lot of makeup. She’s a supermodel, so of course she is. But her kids? Well, they are incredibly beautiful little creatures so they don’t need any of it to bring out their gorgeous features. Wait a minute. Kids? Makeup? Oh heck no! Leni, 8, and Lou, who is only 2 years old, were spotted with mama Klum going to the Children’s Museum of the Arts in NYC wearing the same perfect red lipstick on their adorable little pouts. Would love to know what the brand and color are because it’s kind of the perfect red. Some may be freaking out over this. What would possess Heidi to allow her little sweeties to wear a potentially toxic Lolita look on their lips?!?

I say it's no big deal! So what if your kids want to be like mommy and wear a little lipstick, maybe a little shadow. But I still have two very specific concerns about it.

Ashlee Simpson's 3-year-old son Bronx has the most adorably long locks. Though, I have no doubt the mom is getting flack for letting her little boy's hair get so long.

My son has super curly hair too. It fell in the cutest ringlets at his shoulders and not everyone was a fan. Some friends, family members, and even friends of family members would say, "Oh you should cut his hair," "He looks like a girl," or ask in a judgemental tone, "When are you going to cut that child's hair?" In their mind, long hair was FOR GIRLS ONLY.

Years before I had my own kids, I spent plenty of time taking care of other people's kids, so I know how tough the nanny gig can be. Especially, I would imagine, if you're in charge of the Kardashian klan -- with Mama Kris Jenner in charge of YOU. According to Pam Behan, author of Malibu Nanny: The True Adventures of the Former Kardashian Nanny, Kris was harder to handle than Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Robert combined.

Behan paints Jenner out to be a fame-obsessed tyrant whose main concerns were grooming her kids for the spotlight and, apparently, keeping the refrigerator stocked with broccolli. (And god help the nanny who forgot to put the green veggie on the shopping list!)

Like I said, I can only imagine the unique challenges associated with the position of Official Kardashian Nanny -- I'm sure Kris was, um, a demanding boss. But the truth is, the nanny/mom dynamic is often tricky and tension-filled, even for non-celebs.
