I'm already inundated with toy catologs. Mindware, First Steps, Sensational Beginnings ... new ones I've never even heard of are landing in my box each day. Guess it's time to start thinking about holiday shopping. But even if you're not ready to take the plunge yet, here's a tip: Toy catalogs are great toddler distractors. I give them to my kids and I don't hear a peep out of them for a good half hour!

We get so many of them too. The kids love them. We also just acquired a good one from Walmart. They have their Christmas list all ready!
My toddler and I also discovered the joys of toy catalogs this week. Though I also had to hear a lot of "I need that..."
I shop all year around. Between my 3 kids, 4 nieces, 1 nephew and friends kids I always seem to have a birthday to go to. I love to shop the post holiday sales. I am always picking up something. I sit down in early Nov (just did it today) and see what I have. Make a list of who is getting what and make my shopping list for my shopping trip with the gf's. As of right now I just need to get each of mine a big gift and finish one of my nieces. Plus I have 2 Dec birthdays to finish up.
I just got the money to go shopping so I plan to start and finish this weekend.
My 16 month old is just as impressed now with the physical catalogue and could care less if she got a toy that was in it. She loves cardboard boxes too and all the other "free" toys around the house. I wish this stage lasted longer...
