On Thanksgiving, no mom wants to deal with gravy down her toddler's new dress, cranberry sauce on the new shirt, and/or mashed potato in the belly button (you know it could happen).
So why not protect your child's clothing and hard-to-clean nooks and crannies by putting your kid in a cool smock? These SMOX are handmade by CafeMom chealam0de and sold in her SMOX shop.
SMOX are great-looking eating aprons (or excellent arts and crafts cover-ups), lined in either lightweight flannel or terry cloth. Unlike traditional bibs, SMOX have long sleeves to keep clothes and bodies clean.
Shown above (left to right, row by row):
- Blue Batik Dot SMOX: $25
- Bright Stripes SMOX: $25
- Pink Keys SMOX: $25
- Terrier Dog SMOX: $25
How do you plan to protect your toddler's clothes on Thanksgiving? Or maybe you have a neat eater or one that eats topless...

Dd is a pretty neat eater---once in a while she gets food on her clothes, but its not a big deal, she's a kid, and clothes wash.
I dress him in play clothes. If it get's messy and stained...just not a big deal. Trying to stick him into a smock however, would be. :) isn't toddlerhood fun?
The joys of having a boy...I just take his shirt off :)
usually i just bring extra clothes with my little man or if at home i just take his shirt off. but the smock idea is cute i thought about getting smocks for my son for when he fingerpaints.
I could use one of those lol. My son is such a messy eater. He likes to play with his food while eating...not a pretty sight!
A big oversize shirt or I take his clothes off
Heh...I dress'em in play clothes...the girl is pretty neat, the boy is a DISASTER with a spoon. If there were a short sleeved version I'd probably get one for the boy though...he's not one for long sleeves and putting him in a long sleeved jacket for fall/winter is proving to be a chore and a half!
