Sure, there was the Baby's First Thanksgiving thing. However, unless you got really sassy with a blender, that was before the most important element of the holiday was introduced: the Thanksgiving dinner.
Will this be the year of your toddler's first Thanksgiving meal?
How will your toddler be celebrating his or her first official turkey and mashed potato-filled Thanksgiving? Is there a new outfit involved? A turkey bib? Any special traditions? Or are you just worried that your picky eater toddler won't eat anything at all?
Tell us how you plan to celebrate your toddler's very first Thanksgiving as a solid-food-eating being?

Actually my youngest had her first real Thanksgiving meal at 7 1/2 months. She had turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing (the mushy stuff that was cooked with the turkey), cranberry sauce and some mushed up broccoli.
The only thing she didn't feed to herself was the cranberry sauce. None of it was pureed, it was all the same stuff the rest of us ate (and turkey gets really tender when you cook it overnight in the slow cooker...yummy).
The next year when she was 19 months she was feeding herself with a fork and spoon and drinking from a regular cup and ate everything we ate including the Polish sausage, rolls, pie and raviolis.
I might let my baby taste some of the turkey this year and cranberry sauce mashd potatoes get buttered and milk so probably none of those. But I will let my baby boy taste some of the Thanksgiving Food along with his regular baby foods since he he has teeth in the fron 2 on top and 2 on the bottom.
Last year my baby ate mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, and mashed turkey....he was 5 months old.
This year he will eat Turkey, cranberry sauce, a veggie, and a baked potato.
Last year my son was about 10 months old, so we let him try most everything, although he didn't seem to like much of any of it. I'm really looking forward to this year. Now he actually eats meat and I think he'll really like the cranberry sauce, potatoes, stuffing, and my mom's awesome apple pie!
My son didn't get a Thanksgiving last year because he was only about 3 almost 4 months old. This year will be his first with actual Thanksgiving food! We are eating at my parent's with my side of the family, then having dessert at my fiance's side of the family. I have a cute little outfit for him to wear, of course the Thanksgiving bib, and he'll have turkey, mashed potatos, stuffing, pie, corn, rolls, all the good stuff! I can't wait for him to join us at our Thanksgiving meal this year! :)
