Neither of my kids really attached to a stuffed animal toy. Do your kids have a favorite?
My older son really liked this orange bear my mom got him when he was little. However, he didn't have to have it. It was simply nice to have it.
My almost-3-year old always takes a toy to bed with him, but it can be any toy that he's fond of on any given day — lots of times that means his older brother's Star Wars figures even.
Shown above (left to right, top to bottom):
- Unicorn No. 41, $65 Mahar Drygoods
- Knit Baby Darlings, $12 at the outfit
- Bonne Nuit Sleep Angel Dolls (customized), $18 each at La Pomme
- Long-Eared Pal, $40 at Romp
- Great Horned Owl, $24.99 at Imagine Childhood
- Velvet Elephant, $35 at Raplapla
What about your kids? Do they have a favorite stuffed or plush animal or other lovie toy? How attached are they to their favorite toy?

My son got the monkey from 'Build-a-Bear' when he was 10 months old. He is now 3 and there has not been a night that 'Monkey' hasn't been in his arms.
My 3yo has Teddy. It's this little bear I picked up in the Target $1 section for Christmas in 07 (when she was 20 months old). She didn't get attached to it until a year later and now she cries if she can't find Teddy before bed. She also has Mimsy--a small bunny I got at Easter time from Target (in the $1 section again). $2 spent and her 2 most prized possessions.
Oh, if I could only find another Yellow Bear (from Carter's) to replace the dirty rag that my son carries everywhere I'd be over the moon. He's going to graduate high school with that thing.
my daughter has a cat that i had when i was little, and she loves that thing!! she takes it everywhere we let her!!!!
yes so far we have gone through 2 different stuffed animals mainly because we keep on loosing them =-( one was a dog, my godmother gave her, we left it one day on the bus to never found it, then we switched to a bear, we lost it walking to the bus stop, never found it either, and rigth now she has two that i have to watch out for, a pig that she calls horse, and a I heart NY teddy my mom got her rigth after we lost the other teddy =-/ oh and yes they get DIRTY specially the pig. lol
We have a collection of loveys: Blanket, Bunny, Puppy, Kitty and Taggie. These can be interchanged, but are all in the inner-cirlce of DS' circle. Kitty, Puppy and Taggie usually venture around the house or outside, but Bunny and Blanket live in his bed. It's really cute to see him negotiate with us on carrying his lovey around, and who makes the cut that day!
Both of my sons have a favorite and its hilarious. My oldest (4) loves his "Brown Bear" and my youngest loves his "Baby Brown Bear". Cracks me up!!
My daughter has a Minnie that my aunt gave to her, and my younger daughter is usually carring around a stuffed puppy of some sort.
