I was just having a great time reading and peeking through the super-creative Handmade Halloween Costume Ideas over in the handmade holidays group. You crafty moms are so amazing!
For the rest of us, who might be creative but a little unskilled with the sewing machine, here are a few simple DIY Halloween costume ideas for your toddler.
From the Etsy shop Do It Yourself Kids Costumes (found via Daily Candy), each costume kit contains felt pieces and the tools you need to turn an ordinary sweatsuit into a creative and adorable costume. No sewing expertise required! This sounds right up my alley.
Most of these DIY costume kits run $15, and then you can use a sweatsuit your toddler has or buy a second-hand or inexpensive new one.
Cute huh?

Along the same lines are these Mask and Tail sets from Jo-Ann Fabrics. Just add the mask and tail to a solid colored suit and voila — a cute Halloween costume.
The below Black Cat and Grey Mouse mask and tail sets are just $6.49.

Are you DIY-ing a fun Halloween costume for your Toddler? What'd you come up with?
