Congratulations to CafeMom mjgreeley who won this awesome booster seat! Stay tuned for more CafeMom giveaways every week.
Is your toddler growing like a weed? Mine sure is. It's just a matter of time before he'll be wanting to sit in a booster seat like his big brother.
The general guideline for switching to booster seats, although every state has different booster seat guidelines (they let parents decide when to switch), is not before age 4 AND 40 pounds.
Our state suggests waiting to move to a booster seat at age 6, and so we'll go with that for our youngest, as we did for our oldest.
Right now on CafeMom, you can enter to win a Britax booster seat for your growing tot.

What are the booster seat guidelines in your state? Follow this link to find out.

I live in Maine where the guidelines are 8 years and 80 pounds.
car seat to 4, booster to 7
car seat to 4, booster to 7. We are keeping our twins in their car seat until they are 4 and meet the height limit, because I doubt they will be 40 lbs any time soon.
I live in NC, to get into a booster its 4 years old and 40 lbs no booster is 8 years and 80 lbs. my son is 5 and 42 lbs and my daughter is 2 and 25 lbs so there are going to be car seats and booster seats in my car for a LONG LONG time!!
these are michigan state laws . so we need a very good booster car seat
NY says car seat and booster until age 6. I am not sure if I believe this website, since it says on the same line children to age 16 must be restrained in the seat, but the law is actually the same for adults too, so it should say ALL like the other states do. :/
Ohio is age 4 and 40 pounds!
I live in Ohio... And the booster seat guidelines is age four and 40 pounds...
I live in ND and the guidelines state they must be 7 yrs old and weigh 80lbs. and 57 inches.
Please make sure whoever wins this has an older child.
Besides, folks, what you should be concerned with is not how SOON you can legally move your child to a booster, but how LONG they can last in the 5 point harness until they NEED a booster.
