It's time for a Mom Confession — because, let's face it, we're real mothers and sometimes it doesn't work the way the parenting books say it should.
This Week's Confession:
I lie and say I'm "working" to avoid playing.
Sometimes I lie to my 5-year old when he wants me to play and tell him I have to "work" on my laptop -- taylormom82
We all have secrets and opinions — so thanks to this brave mom for sharing her honest thoughts, and thank you for keeping this conversation non-judgemental!

Honestly right now dd is pretty content playing by herself and entertains herself fairly well--so if she does want me to play, i generally will, as long as i'm not doing anything important.
I just tell her that mommy is doing something and will come play in a little bit.
What goes around comes around. Honesty is the house policy.....
HA. I really DO have to tell my kids "I'm working" sometimes because I DO work from my computer on my online shop. They understand.. I wouldnt lie about it though. Even my 4 year old knows the difference between paypal and cafemom.
honeslty i use to do that. . but then one day i realized how fast he was growoing. . one day he wouldn't want me to play with him. . .& i realize this time is so precious. . .one day when i look back i want to remember playing with my son. . .my mom never played with us. . & i remember that. so try to play with him when he wants to.
