The Pittsburgh Early Childhood Parenting Examiner recently asked its readers to share their favorite part of toddlerhood.
Some of my favorite answers:
"...the unconditional love. No matter how many time outs my son gets, he still hugs me and gives me kisses. There is no hate, just love.”
And this one:
"...listening to my daughter sing the ABC's to herself.”
What's your favorite part of toddlerhood so far?

watching him shake his rump junk to any tune possible, extended breastfeeding, being able to wear silly things to events and blame it on my son liking it ;) the messes he never ceases to make, wearing him despite him being half my size already (we get quite the look while out and about) watching him grow, cooking with him, art projects, baby yoga the list doesnt end!!
I ditto the singing to himself- it's just so darn cute!
I also know that he's likes when I call him sweetheart. If I don't say "Hi Sweetheart" he says again "Hi Mommy, Hi Sweetheart" all at once.
I love to see his evolving sense of humor.
my daughter counts sings dances talks 'reads' to herself and she likes to help clean sometimes
I love seeing her care for things and show empathy- Blowing kisses to neighborhood cats, and giving trees kisses:) The best is hearing her make up a song that has only one word for the lyrics.. Mommy.
It'll end so soon. Phoebe gives me 'leg hugs" just because. She also goes sobbing berzrek just because... but the thing love most about her and me right now, is(and I meant to say her and me) I love her more than anyone I've ever loved. I can show her how much every day, and it only gets better. I don't have to explain why I'm snuggling or tickling her...she gets it.
Perhaps I'm jaded, but loving a kid at this age is way more rewarding than any relationship I've ever had. I can love purely and w/out inhibition.
Its all about the love, innocence and adventureness!
I love to hear my children laugh. I can have a bad day or whatever but as soon as I hear those little laughs my heart just melts. I also love to watch them grow and develop even if it is fast and sad at times because they can't stay little forever.
oh man, this is hard there is soo much i love about my son right now. he is learning so much and so quickly. he is all boy and no fear but there is a caring loving side i get to see the most. he loves music and cars/trucks. he can also eat more than me in a sitting! his smile and kisses are also something i enjoy everyday.....
Her reactions to certain events or when asked a question... such as "Sophie, where is the puppy!?!?!" Immediately, she gets up to search for puppy... once found, "There's puppy!!!!!" And, we all rejoice!!!
She still takes her binkie at night, in the morning we say goodbye to the binkie. "Say bye bye binkie!" She pulls the binkie out of her mouth, throws it into her toddler bed, and waves as she sleepily says, "Bye binkie!"
Her ability to steal hearts no matter where we go... Such a loving little personality that makes anyone want to take her home with them. (This is when I go in overprotective mode lol).
Hearing them say words they just learned. They are everyday words for us but coming from a toddler makes it cuter! My son just said "Holy cow what was that?!" Simple phrase but so funny! And his smooth, chubby cheeks that I can't stop kissing!
