Twins are in the air around here -- Cafe MicheleZ is expecting them, as is the star of our Pregnancy Week by Week feature, wtng1grl, and my friend Patty.
So it was perfectly on schedule for jilltwinmom to send me not just one but FOUR Super Smoothie Recipes for Picky Eaters the other day. I guess when you have twins you multiply everything.
"I have picky twin boys and it's so difficult to get veggies in them, so I do a lot of smoothies in the summer," jill says. "I puree up fruit and freeze them in ice cube trays."
To make these delicious and nutritious drinks, just dump the following ingredients into the blender and puree to the desired texture.
Strawberry Pumped (The Iron Booster)
1 cup strawberries
1 banana
2 mango cubes
1 cup apple juice
tbsp honey
½ cup ice
1 tsp. milled flax seed

2 pineapple rings
1 very ripe banana
2 tbsp. cream of coconut
1 tsp. milled flax seed
1 carrot or sweet potato cube
Antioxidant Galore
1/4 cup black berries
1/2 cup blueberries
1/4 cup raspberries
1/2 cup frozen cherries
2 tbsp. cooked beet pieces

1tbsp. honey
Smooth Sailing (The Fiber Booster)

Great recipes! Throw kale in! It's so nutritious and your kids won't be able to taste it.
wow my toddler NEEDS some of these. She eats absolutely no meat (except for eggs) and NO veggies what-so-ever!
count me in, i'll be making some to see if she actually tries them, if not, i'll drink them for her lol =-)
I can't wait to try these... As soon as payday hits we are going to the store for ingredients!
My twins don't like plain milk.. :(... so every once in a while to make sure they drink it ALL.. lol.. I do the smoothies too.. I also have been known to add carrots or beets to them... great sweet flavor, and veggies don;t hurt.. lol...
