If you have a toddler (or have already gone through the toddler phase), I'm sure you are far too familiar with the outrageous episodes of screaming, crying, throw downs on the floor. Here are some links I love about how other moms dealt with disciplinary issues:

I'm guilty of yelling- I yell- it seems no one in the house can even hear me if I"m under a certain decibel. With our toddler we do time outs or I take away a toy if she is misusing or abusing it, and sometimes, when she is just on a roll and she and I clearly need a break from each other, I call for "quiet time" which is similar to nap time - she has to lay in bed quietly with a book- but I don't expect her to sleep, only to be quiet until the timer buzzes (30 minutes)- she can look at her book, play quietly wiht her dolls, she just can't make noise or get off the bed- this often leads to a nap by default, which is fine by me. But I am not as good with discipline as I wish i were- I definitely have my shortcomings in this department- the only consolation being that I"m lightyears better than my parents were.
