Sorry if I seem potty-training obsessed lately, but I'm waiting for the potty bug to bite my 2.5 yo. I was hoping he'd start getting on the potty this summer. So far...he's sat on the pot once...just sat... *sigh*
Anyway, love the above Japanese potty-training video Pants Pankuro, an episode that provides a very important potty lesson for boys.

I thought I was the only one. We have been potty training full force for a week and I was about to go nuts asking every ten minutes "Do you have to potty? Do you have to potty? Want to potty?" Good luck with yours. Oh and the video is super funny.
Don't stress over potty training. As long as you show your children what to do, and ask occasionally (maybe not even every DAY), and reward real EFFORTS whether or not they produce results, your children will potty-train when they're ready.
I have a two year old and I'm also waiting for him to feel comforatble because when I sit him in the potty he just doesn't want to go but when I put the diaper back on is like a relief for him I'll just wait is better not to pressure him to use it when he is the ready.
I liked the video and it inspired me to look for more...maybe if DS see's other 'people' using the potty...he will be more motivated!
I ordered this video to try & get some ideas with my LO when she started being interested in going potty. I can't say that this is how she got potty trained, but rather once she started using the potty she would ask to see the other big kids. I'd pop this video in & show her one of the clips as a reward. She loved it!

Always remember that its not something that is going to happen from one night to the other. My husband and I were at it for about 1 month with our two year old son. Something that was very helpful was that we would potty at the same time that we would ask him if he needed to potty. Something that was also helpful was a potty trainig book for kids. We bought him an Elmo book on potty training and he would just sit in his potty seat and go. Whenever he would go we would have a mini potty party in the bathroom. Rewarding was also very good and fun for him. Good luck and have a lot of patience. I hope any of this helps you.
i wasn't able to see the video =-(
