It's time for a Mom Confession -- because, let's face it, we're real mothers and sometimes it doesn't work the way the parenting books say it should.
This Week's Confession:
My daughter has a t-shirt that says "Daddy's Little Squirt" (like the one at left). I love it, I think it's funny. But the other day at the mall, another mom pulled me aside and told me how offensive it was and that I'm defiling my child, especially since she doesn't even know what it means. Well, I told her off, of course. She's my child and I'll dress her however I like. -- anonymous
Would you let your child wear a shirt that says "Playground Pimp" or "Hung Like a 4 Year Old"? Toddlers don't know what these things mean -- are we disrespecting them? Does it bother you when you see other kids wearing them?

Depends on the shirt I think this one is a going a little far....my son has one that I put on him occasionally that says "Boobies make me smile"
This has made me rethink if I should put that tshirt on my son........
Do I think they are appropriate No...BUT I think they are funny as hell!
A friend of mine gave me a black onesie as a gift for my son that read "HUNG LIKE A 5 YEAR OLD"
OMG...You should have seen my mother's face when as a joke one day, I dressed him w/ a black bandanna. black work boots & the onesie underneath a pair of jeans & a black hoodie... when she went to change him she was like (gasp) WTH??? and then came out all red in the face, then laughing after realizing it was just a joke! LMAO!!! Priceless.
I wouldn't put my kid in them. Call me a prude, but I think it's inappropriate. If I would let my child say it, I'm not going to let her wear it.
I voted no, but only because I wouldn't dress mine in them. I think most of them are hilarious, and would never say anything to another parent who chose to dress her child in one.
We had one that said "daddys little tax deduction" but I would never put my so nin a shirt with a sexual reference. That is just nasty and low class.
Some of them are funny and would let my kid wear them, but some of them are too far for my taste. Who seriously comes up to someone they don't know and critiques what a child is wearing?
I saw one at Spencers that has stick figures with Me, Mommy, A**hole (instead of Daddy). If they made one in my son's size, I'd get it for him.
i personally think theyre funny! my 4 year old has a shirt that says "Hottie of the year" and "it took mommy and daddy 9 months to make me but i'll be dazzling the crowd for years" that shirt has gotten some good comments and some bad ones. but i really dont care. its my kid! ill dress her however i want her
If it had actual obscene words on it, no, I wouldn't let my child wear it. But a funny shirt, even if a bit crass, is fine in my book. I'd rather have my child wear that than wear what some of these little girls I see have on. Why on earth would you dress a little girl in a baby-style mini skirt, or little 'booty shorts' that say 'Hot'?
I'd rather my child grow up wearing clothes that show a sense of humour on his parent's part, and then on his part, than wearing clothes that show of everything but their private parts. Sometimes, dressing like mommy can be a BAD thing.
Trashy, they just make mom look skanky, or a hillbilly.
When I see kids wearing shirts that have sexual undertones I feel bad for them.
this is child abuse. disgusting.
