Ricky Gervais is the funniest guy on the planet! -- and here's a clip of hysterical outtakes from a recent appearance he made with Elmo on Sesame Street. Gervais started improvising, and the Elmo puppeteer went with it.

Gervais' scene is slated to appear this November 2009, when "Sesame Street" premiers its 40th Anniversary episode.


You're toddlers probably won't think much of the cutting-room floor version, but I was in hysterics, especially when Gervais starts complaining that, "I'm the only one here who's not getting paid."

When asked what topics are off limits on the show, Gervais says, "Drugs, child abuse, and the Holocaust."
