Mom Confessions: I Leave My Toddler Alone in the Bath

182

mom confessionsIt's time for a Mom Confession -- because, let's face it, we're real mothers and sometimes it doesn't work the way the parenting books say it should.

This Week's Confession:

"My son is just about to turn 2 and he has been playing in the bath by himself for about a month now. He likes to take long baths, and it got to the point where I had stuff to do and I got tired of fighting to get him out. So now he takes a bath in the master bathroom while I'm close by in the bedroom folding clothes and picking up his toys. I don't go far, but I don't hover over him, either. --anonymous

My boys used to get a little wild in the tub. I can't tell you how many times I had to catch them before they went under. It really can happen in an instant, trust me.

I leave my 3 year old in the tub every night he gets in plays I go wash and he gets out he makes lots of noise so I know if something is wrong he sits there and plays with his cars and trucks and runs then on the side of the tub so its not like he is jumping around or anything an I really do not think its lazy or irresponsible I have 3 kids 7 6 3 so sitting n the bathroom with one while they play means leaving the other two to so something that will hurt them
