Farrah Abraham is a busy woman. The former Teen Mom trots all around the globe for her dubious business ventures, mostly hosting club nights. Say what you will about her (and I will probably agree with you), you can't deny that every day, she is, indeed, hustling. All her travel and, uh, other exploits are bound to have an impact on her 4-year-old daughter, Sophia.
To give her a modicum of credit, the woman isn't oblivious to this. She recently mentioned that once a month she takes Sophia to "Mommy and Me" counseling sessions. This is where I begin heaving sighs of disbelief and spluttering. It's all terribly attractive, I promise.
It's all well and good to be concerned about how your travel for work effects your child. I don't doubt that Sophia misses her mom like crazy when she's away. But there's a bigger issue here. Sophia's getting old enough that she's bound to become aware of the fact that her mom's notoriety comes in part from her work in the adult entertainment industry.
The porn she shot with James Deen wasn't a one-off -- exhibit her line of sex toys due to hit shelves any day now. Farrah says she sits down with Sophia to talk about being "a business woman who travels a lot" with an assist from a professional once a month. If she's aware enough to realize that her daughter knows she's "traveling," she's got to be aware that she's going to figure out just what her mom is famous for. By glossing over this subject and misdirecting who she really is in therapy, she's not helping Sophia, she's setting her up to feel betrayed big-time.
Do you think this "therapy" is going to do Sophia more harm than good?
