Kids singing are one of my weaknesses. I seriously melt when I hear their little voices belting (or squeaking) out a tune. So this video in which a 2-year-old boy belts out a Beatles tune while he and his dad play guitar has me simply smitten, and it will you too.
Together they sing one of the best versions of "Don't Let Me Down" I've ever heard. Seriously, Matchbox Twenty and Annie Lennox have nothing on this kid. Watch for yourself and see what I mean.
Oh my goodness. That little voice! That little guitar! It's all just too cute. According to YouTube, his name is Diogo Mello, and according to the growing number of fans who have seen the video as it goes viral, he's amazing. As one commenter said, "Somewhere, John Lennon is smiling." I have no doubt he is.
It's such a reminder to me that I need to record my kids singing more often now when they're young. Their sweet little voices aren't going to stay like they are forever, and I know I'm going to miss them when the new, more adult-like ones come.
If you know someone in need of a smile, share this with them. I think this could brighten even the most Monday-ish of Mondays.
Do you sing with your kids?
