10 Fun Places to Put 'The Elf on the Shelf' ® (Besides the Shelf)
Remember Christmas before "The Elf on the Shelf" ®? Back then, seems like parents spent all of December repeating the same warning over and over: "Santa's watching!" Now that we have a visual reminder of all-powerful St. Nick, we can finally save our breath for the New Year.
The only problem? Kids are getting wise to our tricky ways. They know exactly where mom and dad are most likely to hide that sneaky elf. And if the elf is always on the bookshelves in the living room, well, how's Santa going to find out about naughty behavior in, say, the kitchen?

It is a very creepy toy. I would hide it just to freak people out. Muahaha. One day he'll be in the bathroom cabinet. The next on top of the ceiling fan in the living room. Peeking behind books on the bookshelf. I would hide it in cookie jars, in backpacks, hangers in the closet. I'd put it in so many places it would give people nightmares. :D

My kids LOVE their elf on a shelf! :) Right now, she is in our van... on the center console, riding in a Barbie car with Ken. LOL!

I'm not at all impressed with those locations...So far we have seen the elf on top of the curtain rod, on top of a giant mirror, the cabinet tops and tomorrow he will probably be hanging from the light fixture. The point is that my son enjoys searching for him. If the elf is sitting in his shoe or holding his toothbrush, well that's no fun, AND then he has to touch the elf to finish dressing in the morning. We all know what happens if you touch the elf, DON"T WE????
