To you, it's the kitchen, the place where you make food. Or at least pull it out of the freezer and nuke it. It's filled with gadgets, a hot stove, sharp knives, and a whole host of other useful, necessary, and dangerous things.
But to your toddler your kitchen is a playground. But you kind of already knew that, right? Let's take a look at the typical kitchen through your toddler's eyes. It's a whole 'nother universe from their perspective!

Totally adorable :)
Mine is 7, and still uses the wisk and spoons to play. I had to give her my spoons after she used them to do some planting....
One of my favorite pictures of my dad & uncle were when they were little kids outside throwing snowballs at a group of other kids, and one has a collander on his head, and the other, a cooking pot (handle and all). It was during WWII, money was scarce, and they were pretending to be soldiers.
for my youngest the measuring cups are his drinking cups and the drawer under the oven is his secret toy box, i don't know how many times i've found toys that his brother has been asking for in that drawer. lol oh and whisks are swords and pot lids are shields...... lol keeps him happy while i cook i'm ok cleaning them over and over again... lol
