Oh the crazy things we'll to do potty train our kids. We all know the basics: Start when they're ready. Keep big-kid undies and lots of towels handy. Be patient. Be really, really patient. No pressure!
Some of our tricks and tips aren't too crazy. Rewarding with stickers? No problem. Rewarding with candy? Um ... now you're getting controversial. Hanging out in the bathroom, just reading and singing songs? Someone looks a little loony. If our childless friends could see some of the other tricks we'll try, they'd never stop laughing. But they can laugh all they want. We just do what works!

I used a potty bank for my kids. When they went, they got a coin to put in the bank. Also taught them by age two the differences between dimes, nickles, quarters and pennies. My son got lazy on the pull ups thought for a time or two and I stuck him full time in underwear. He squatted once after that when he didnt want to go to the bathroom and I didnt let him change for a minute. He realized they didnt hold like his pull ups and he was set from then on. My daughter was the same only she would pee in the potty but refused to poop there so in addition to the bank, when she didnt poop in the potty, she had to lose her underwear for 15 minutes. She HATED that and it took about 2 days for her to drop that bit of stubbornness. Now I have an 8 month old and one on the way so they will be Irish Twins. Should be interesting doing two at a time. My first two were 16 months apart and both done when they were two.
I'm introducing new product for parents going through potty-training process, or who have previously gone through the process. please take survey. thank you!
