Ashlee Simpson's 3-year-old son Bronx has the most adorably long locks. Though, I have no doubt the mom is getting flack for letting her little boy's hair get so long.
My son has super curly hair too. It fell in the cutest ringlets at his shoulders and not everyone was a fan. Some friends, family members, and even friends of family members would say, "Oh you should cut his hair," "He looks like a girl," or ask in a judgemental tone, "When are you going to cut that child's hair?" In their mind, long hair was FOR GIRLS ONLY.
PLEASE! This isn't the 1950s. Yet there are message boards dedicated to debating this issue. I just don't understand why it is anyone's business but that mom's. Besides, why can't boys sport long locks. Those that do aren't any less social, playful, or smart. It has nothing to do with behavior or intelligence.

I will admit, I eventually relented and chopped off his hair after he turned 2, but it wasn't because of those old-fashioned nags. The longer it got, the more difficult those coarse curls were to manage. And I did want to see what his little face looked like without the wild mane. But I hope Ashlee doesn't snip her kid's ultra cool coif. Just like with adults, it can definitely add to a kid's personality and presence.
Do you think Ashlee should cut her son's hair?

If it was my kid, I would cut his hair. However, he is not my kid, and therefore it doesn't matter what I think.
no
My son will have long hair. Why? Because my son and husband are Comanche and in tradition do not cut their hair. We did decide that if our son wants to cut it, that's his choice, though but it will be long until he decides he doesn't want it to be.
IMO She can cut it whenever she wants! My oldest had long hair exactly like that until 3 1/2 years old. And it was debated on a board on here too! My youngest is only 1 and has the curly hair but its thicker than my oldest so his will probably be cut in the next 6 months.
I just want to add that I can't stand the color orange and I really don't like it when people dress their kids in it, therefore, no parent should dress their child in orange!
See how stupid that sounds?
I think the hair is cute, but I don't find it that cute on little boys... But that's my opinion.. he's not my son, so I don't care what she does with his hair! lol
Nope. Leave it long. It really isn't anyone's business other than the child's parents. I've never cut my 4 year old son's hair. People have mistaken him for a girl and there are some that question when I'll cut it off every time they see him. But their opinion has no weight in whether or not I choose to cut it.
