I get misty-eyed sometimes when I go through pictures of my son when he was just a toddler. Those sweet chubby cheeks, that feathery hair, his little ways. But there is one thing I have absolutely no nostalgia for: The messes. We had some gigantic toy disasters, especially after play dates. But as parents of young devils know, the messes can get a lot deeper than that. And a lot harder to clean up.
Take a walk down memory lane as we recall some of the worst toddler-made disasters in our lives.
That time she poured baby powder all over everything. That time he got into your glitter. The toilet paper bonanza of 2009. Or that fateful day when you thought it might be fun to paint together. Ha! It was not. SIGH. Aren't you glad you didn't have to clean up these messes?

eggs....that is what I found on my floor when my kids got into the fridge and smashed them all over the floor when they were about 2 and 3. My neice and nephew when they were about the same age put vaseline in each others hair.
Whatever program you guys use for your slideshows SUCKS! I really wish you would just put the pictures actually in the post or use something else.
Poop. My 4yr old threw dog poop at her sister for refusing to play with her. I wonder why she didn't want to? Maybe cuz you chucked dog shit at her face?!
I will never buy moon sand again. Nuff said.
Playground sand, that they claimed they dumped out of their shoes, and decided to dump in the bathtub instead to make a "beach"

my son (now 24) was the messiest little guy.. at 2 he painted the inside of the fridge with a stick of butter.. trying to cut the grease of butter inside a cold fridge was a nightmare... at 3 he got the powdered laundry detergent and poured over his deep pile carpeted bedroom floor (told me that he was making snow hills for his hotwheels) and imagine we didnt own a vacuum cleaner at the time... at 4 (his daddy was a roofer by trade at that time) he got into daddy's roofing tar and painted my white station wagon with it while playing out side. at 5 he he decided he was going to be nice and make coffee for mommy n daddy before they got up... He proceeded to put coffee grounds, creamer, sugar and water into the water reservoir of my coffee pot and turned it on.. when I awoke to the smell of burning coffee. It was now sludge slowing dripping into the pot... needless to say it was a worry to wonder what he would do next lol.. just waiting on the day for him to have children of his own and complain about their behavior.. will be reminding him what all he got into lol
The worst mess my son made was when he was three. Hubby and I were in the home office looking over something and our son was watching star wars which usually means that he won't move anywhere. However this time, he was watching the scene with Luke and his family in the desert and he suddenly decided he wanted to be in one too. At this time, we were also packing the patio bricks in the backyard with sand and we had a large open bag right by the backyard door (had to be over 40 lbs). He decided he wanted to use that to make a desert in the living room, and so he did leaving a trail in his path. We were also wondering how the hell he managed to move that bag by himself so when we looked at the backyard camera (hubby is a tech geek), to our amusement we saw that our German Shepard had helped him drag it in, thus ripping the bag in the process. Of course by the time we got in the living room , he was back on the couch like nothing had ever happened, cuddling with the dogs and his blanket. We had our cleaning service come in early to clean the mess. There was also the time he decided to hand paint hubby's new beemer with paint primer...that was pretty funny as well.
Oddly enough, my dog made a mess when she was a pup that trumps anthing my DD2 has yet to do. The dog dragged a whole bag of flour out of the pantry when my back was turned, pulled it into the powder room (aka her lair) and ripped it open, getting flour everywhere-the floor, in the toilet, in the sink, caked into her fur. It was fun cleaning that up, I tell you. Good times.
A month or so ago she decided to dump out the entire bag of cat food and spread it all over the kitchen floor.
