So, my family and I survived the 16-hour trip from Baltimore to Disney World. Not only did we survive it, we had an absolute blast. It was as close to perfect as a trip with three young kids could possibly be. Hallelujah! But, that's not to say our trips have always been so successful. We've had stomach bugs, flat tires, and ear infections plague many a family trip. Thankfully, just not this one! It seems like, more often than not, family trips aren't all they're cracked up to be.

We go to Hilton Head Island every year and its always full of old people or rich people or old and rich people. My nephew decided to whip it out and piss on a 100 yr old oak that was built around a stage. He and his three cousins already had an audience because they were previously putting on a "show". Some old lady was mortified and began to say something nasty. I turned around and said he is 3, he is potty training, quit staring pervert!" hahahaha.
my kids dad works aboard and every so often we fly over to him with his parents and sisters. they just sleep the entire flight from our home town to the where their dad is, and that is a long flight. we then have to drive to his house which is a long drive, my kids stay silent the whole time. once we get there they just want to go to bed.
Being a single mother, I couldn't imagine taking all three of my children( all under 10) for an extended trip. I believe I would pull my hair out. The fighting from the backseat is horrendous to deal with for even 20 minutes.
Last year I had the unfortunate experience of making a road trip with my two children who were 6 and 2 at the time. My mother who 53 younger brother and sisters who were 24, 17, and 15. After the 9 hour car ride from Texas to Colorado the only ones I still liked were the 4 minors in my car. After 4 days in Denver and the 10 hour trip home I wasn't speaking to my mother or two out of three siblings. My children however were fantastic, never whined once and were the only highlight of the trip. I'll take them anywhere any time but the rest of my family has to travel with some one else. LMAO! :)
I'm surprised at how many moms can't stand their families, even their own children. My kids get on my nerves and are definately not perfect but I love being around them.
I love goin on vacation with my 6 year old daughter, we spent a month travelling around the south of France and she was the amazing company, only hic ups were her getting upset on the plane because her ears popped (cant blame her its the worse) and getting sick on a long car journey but again it was super hot . any school holidays we haed off to the beach, zoo. Cait wait for the summer we are renting a caravan and heading off for 2 weeks around the coast.
