Telling your child that they're going to be a big brother or sister is a big moment. Parents have been breaking out the video cameras more and more to capture their children's reactions to the news of the baby on the way, and thankfully for us, they're uploading their videos to YouTube. Last week we saw how one family with three kids, soon to be four, took the news that Mom was pregnant -- it was meltdown city. Those kids were absolutely incredulous that they'd have another sibling and burst into a chorus of whines and tears. This video, on the other hand, is of two parents telling their young daughter that she's going to be a big sister and to say she's thrilled is an understatement. Her pure joy is something you just have to see.
The first three minutes of the video is the little girl trying to sound out the words on the t-shirt that read "I'm the Big Sister." If you don't have the patience or the time for that, fast forward to the 3:20 mark and let the happiness wrap around you like a warm blanket.
Beyond sweet, right? And I thought that was a cute idea, giving her a shirt like that. This is what you'd hope the moment would be like when your eldest finds out that she's, in fact, the eldest, and so much more.
Somebody hug me!
How did your child(ren) take the news that you were expecting?

When we told our son that he was going to be a big brother and that Mama had a baby in her belly, he decided that the baby in my belly was a sister (he was right!) and that he also had a baby in his belly and it was a brother. And that brother in his belly always wanted ice cream!
She is so, so sweet.
Awww, that was VERY sweet!!!
This made me cry.... <3
Our "Big Sister" took the news well also :)
Aww, too sweet.
My Isabella didn't take the news too well until a few weeks ago ( and i've got 4 more weeks left) My Shaylee (who is Isabella's twin sister) was and is still very excited
Aww I teared up, how cute was she!
This was absolutely adorable. When I first told my son that he was going to be a big brother, he was not sure what to make of it. But a little while later, when I started getting bigger he started asking questions. One of them, as he pointed at my belly button, was whether or not the baby was in the hole. Not thinking about it cause I was laying down for a nap I said yes. Some time later, I was getting blood work done and one of the other ladies in the waiting room asked him where the baby was. He looked right at her and said. "In the hole." I had to quickly explain that he was talking about my belly button. It was really funny.
