Warning: The following video will cause you extreme anxiety, especially now that we're in prime baking season. Basically, it's the aftermath of two toddlers who got into one bag of flour. There is nothing basic, however, about the mess that's left.
It doesn't sound that bad. One measly bag of flour couldn't possibly do more damage than a little vacuuming could handle, right? Wrong, oh so very wrong. Just watch:
I get serious heart palpitations just watching. It's one of those things that could happen to any of us, in the blink of an eye. As the mom who posted the video on YouTube wrote:
Mommy was not feeling well and had to stay in the bathroom longer than usual during which my two boys, ages 1 and 3 took my new bag of flour out of the cupboard and destroyed my house. This is from ONE 5lb bag. Don't believe me? Hand a full bag to a 3 year old and see what happens.
It almost looks staged, because it's so awful. But no one in their right mind would ever do that on purpose. All she can say is "oh my gosh." I'm amazed at her calm demeanor; I think I would be more ballistic.
That flour is everywhere! From the pictures on the walls to the crevices of the television to the upholstery on the furniture, I have no idea how they will ever clean up all that flour. We've had some glitter incidents that have been pretty traumatic, but never anything close to this kind of disaster. I imagine them finding traces of it for years to come ... and locking up the baking supplies from here on out.
What's the biggest mess your kids have ever caused?

Looks staged to me, she's way too calm.
I'm gonna throw up with her.
May the force be with her.
Because it is greasy it took a long time and many washings to get it up.
The things people will do for attention these days, smh.
It is WAY too orderly, a child/children would have dumped it haphazardly, not carefully made sure that they dumped it neatly over every inch.. Not to mention, when she is videoing the neat little pile on the glass of the door, note that the front of her pants is completely covered in flour, and you can see adult-sized hand prints in multiple places in the flour. No parent would be that calm, I don't care who you are. And furthermore, her oldest child is old enough to know better, he wouldn't have been "mommy what's wrong" or continued playing once he got caught if she hadn't allowed the mess.
yep, at 1:45, you can see flour all over her pant leg. Also, if it had "just happened" there would still be clouds of flour lingering in the air. Pathetic that a mom would do this to exploit her kids.
I agree. Looks fake to me.
LMAO! Fake or not that is funny! I don't care who did it, I would just move so I didn't have to clean that! LOL!
Oh, and once my son got a partial bag of flour, like, the bottom 1/4, he managed (at 2 1/2 ) to throw it all over my kitchen, even put some in my fridge (said he was saving it for later) it was everywhere! I walked in to him throwing it up in the air and saying WHEEEE! It took ages to clean up :P And yes, he evenly distributed it almost everywhere! LMAO! If it had been a full bag, I would have just burned the house down! I couldn't do anything but laugh hysterically while he said "Fun Mommy! FUN! WHEEE!" It was before christmas :P
of course she has flour on her legs, she has 2 little boys that are covered in it they would have come up and touched and hugged her. She had to have discovered it and then went to get the camera. Her calmness, I have been there. When the mess or damage is SO bad that if you let yourself blow it would turn into hitting the kids. Sometimes it's so bad that you just have to accept your fate.
oh and as I watched the video I wanted to give her a hug and help her clean up.
