In case you haven't heard, during last night's Super Bowl, Christina Aguilera screwed up the National Anthem. Like, really messed up. She sang "what so proudly we watched, at the twilight's last reaming." Um yeah, that is wrong -- should be "o'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming."
But how Aguilera messed up our nation's song isn't as important as why she screwed up. She apologized for her fumble, saying she got "lost in the moment."
I would have blamed it on mommy brain.
You know mommy brain. How, due to our bundles of joy, our little loves, we can't remember anything any more. Can't recall crap. Not where the keys are (the fridge), the name of the cat (Mr. Whiskers), or Aunt Bella's birthday (August 7).
So poor Christina can't remember the lyrics to the National Anthem. As fellow moms, we should give her a break. (And TRY to forgive her for her poor outfit choice.) I mean, when we suffer from the woes of mommy brain, the worst thing that happens is we arrive a little late to the kid's BFF's birthday party. We just have to worry about the pipsqueak in the backseat griping and whining.
Christina's foul-ups? They are Tweeted, re-Tweeted, replayed, discussed all over the world. We are here for you, Xtina -- 10 ways to end mommy brain!
What do you think of Christina's flub? Forgivable? Due to Mommy Brain?
