Seeing your child sick and suffering is one of the most difficult things to witness, even if it's just a little cold or flu.
And it's not always a joy to take care of the sniffly, achy, whiny, bored little beings either. It's part of the job, sure, but that doesn't mean you have to relish it, right?
To make the healing a little easier on both of you, here's a selection of products that can help bring about the speedy recovery you both want:
Boogie Wipes $3.99 at drugstore.com
So the name makes me cringe a bit, but the product is genius. Not just any wipes, these contain saline, which can actually help dissolve mucus. Phthalate- and paraben-free, they're also gentle and feel good on a sore little nose.

Cool Mist Humidifier $39.99 at babiesrus.com
Sometimes that flow of cool air at night is the best way to open up the airways and kick a cold. This adorable duck one will have toddlers tickled to let it run all night rather than balking about some strange machine in their rooms.

NoseFrida Snot Sucker $13.50 at Amazon
Again with the too-graphic name, but this thing does just what it says -- sucks the snot out of your little one's nose. Basically one end goes in your child's nose, and one end goes in your mouth. Don't worry, there are filters!

Hot/Cold Pack $13.49 at Amazon
This sweet, soft little lamb can hold either a cold or warm pack for soothing aching heads or calming troubled tummies. Sometimes, it's just fun to cuddle with it.

Temporal Scanner Thermometer $33.99 at Target.com
These are the best thing to happen to thermometers since the glass ones disappeared somewhere along the way since my childhood. With just a quick rub across the forehead, they are quick, accurate, and squirmy-toddler-friendly.

Boogie Wipes are God's gift to moms of toddlers. No kidding. Those things are amazing, and my super-sensitive daughter will only allow her nose to wiped with them, lol.
Boogie Wipes are AWESOME and so is that therometer. We used to use them at the nursing home I worked at!
I havent tried the boogie wipes and I wish I had them on hand! My kids hate having their noses cleaned. I have the Crane humidifier but I have the elephant and it is awesome!! Super quiet, easy to fill and shuts off automatically when the water level gets low.
I love that hot and cold pack and the wipes but the sucking thing is gross filter or not
Neti pot. I can't live without it.
cleanatural - do you use the neti on your kids? I love my Sinurinse bottle, and also have a pot, but can't imagine successfully using them on another person, or being able to explain how to do it to a four or six year old.
Love that thermometer - one of the best things ever!
For my son, my go to is just giving him warm baths in a steamy bathroom.
humidifier, hands down, helps the best, at least when home.
Motrin, Advil, Tylenol, sea spray (saline nasal spray)
