Fisher-Price Recalls Little People Campsite Toys

Jeanne Sager

Fisher-Price recallToy company Fisher-Price has issued a recall for a toy in its popular Little People line in both the U.S. and Canada.

No injuries have yet been reported, fortunately, but the Sonya Lee figure in the Little People Play 'n Go Campsite has been found to break easily -- opening up kids to a variety of risks.

A recall that's being publicized by both the Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, it's voluntary on the part of Fisher-Price on over 100,000 toys sold.

The toy features a carrying case, tent, campfire, marshmallows (for roasting), a bunny, a camping chair, and the little girl figure named Sonya Lee.

Only Sonya Lee figures that bend at the waist and have a green sweater and purple camera around the neck are included in this recall. She should have the name "Sonya Lee" printed on her feet, and product number R6935 is printed on the packaging.

Parents are advised to take the Sonya Lee figurine away from their children immediately.

The toys have been on shelves and online since fall of 2009, and they retailed for around $15.

To get a free replacement Sonya Lee and to determine if your child's toy is affected, visit the Mattel Service website.
