Potty training made a mess of my teeny-tiny bathroom, but not in the way you'd think.
It was the sheer amount of stuff that had migrated from the diaper changing table (which, I'll be honest, we never really used) into my bathroom.
Now we had a potty.
Plus wipes.
Plus diaper cream.
And of course the Lysol wipes for cleanup, the extra rolls of toilet paper because kids go straight through it, the pile of books we moved in there to read as we "practiced."
All that plus the potty seat for when she decided she wanted to use the "big potty."
I wish we'd had this potty hook when she was training.
I found it while perusing Toys R Us the other day for someone else's child, and it looks like it would have cleared up at least one of our problems -- what to do with that pain in the you-know-what potty seat.
We had a tendency of putting it in the bathtub when it wasn't in use because there was simply no other place to put it.
But this hook hangs off the toilet tank and makes use of some currently unusable space. At $3.99, even if it doesn't work, at least you're not wasting big bucks.

My kids used a potty seat for a few days and then when straight to the big potty. No clutter.
It seems that contraption would hang on the top of the door, out of the child's reach. What is the point of that? Or if it hangs over the side of the tank, the seat would be hanging at an awkward angle.
I had 2 Baby Bjorn "Little Potties" side by side with a little bucket of toys/books in between. They didn't take up much room.
When the girls could get on & off the toilet confidently, I kept a stool between the toilet and the sink, with the trainee seat on the stool. When the girls needed to go, they would install the trainee seat and push the stool in front of the toilet. Then they would put them back when they were done. As for accessories, the only thing I used were flushable wet wipes - the kind you buy in the grown-up section of the store. They are stored in the cabinet. So, not much clutter.
SKL, as I say in the piece, it hangs from the toilet tank -- easy access for the kids.
And my plumber has advised me to never use the flushable wet wipes -- they can easily clog your toilet despite the "flushable" description.
I have the tiniest oddly shapped bathroom ever. Potty training has been interesting for us. DD wanted to go straight to using the big potty, the potty seat thing sits next to the toilet since it's kinda in this nook and leans against the wall. She knows how to put it on and take it off. We have to keep her stool under the bathroom sink in a cabinet because there is absolutly no where else to put it
The potty hook looks like it would be useful to us and keep the seat off the floor. I'm gonna go see if I can find one.
the potty was just right close to the other toilet or behind it. no wipes while it was in the bathroom and the supplies where hidden under the sink locked.
