Photo by Splash NewsLevi McConaughey, the 22-month-old son of Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves, looks like he's never had a haircut. My 29-month-old daughter still hasn't had one either!
Levi's long locks remind me of Ryder Robinson (son of Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson) who just had his very first haircut -- at the age of 6.
I think long hair on little boys looks cute (I even like it on some hunky men). Maybe Levi's could use a little brushing, but I'm not one to judge -- I know all too well that toddlers and brushes don't always mix.
What do you think about long hair on toddler boys? Is there an age at which you think a boy should have short hair?

I think as son as little boys have enough hair they should have hair cuts like little boys. I've, several time, called little boys little girls, then I'm the one that is embarassed.
I LOVE long hair on little boys... I didn't cut my boys hair until he was close to 24 months.
I totally agree with Lola Ray :)...toddler boys should get haircuts. I do not find it appealing for a man to have hair as long as mine and we fight over the ponytail holder! Little boys should be just that, rough little boys and not have to constantly deal with wiping their hair out of their eyes.
Just don't be offended if somebody thinks your little boy is a beautiful little girl.
For us, we cut our boy's hair as soon as its on their ears.
Not a fan of the long hair on little boys. Tori Spelling's little guy has crazy long locks, too.
My son is 3 and just had his cut. I want it long again so I'm letting it grow back out! His was tothe middle of his back. I think I'll let it go to shoulder length this time. He liked having long hair.
Long hair is ok on boys I've seen alot of boys rock cornrows, braids, twist, and so on and so on so it doesn't really matter until the child begs mommy or daddy for a haircut.
We didn't cut our son's hair till he was 3, we had religious and traditional reasons for doing so. Here's the thing- if it isn't obvious to you what the gender of a child is- try making NON gender specific remarks. No really.
Instead of saying 'My what a sweet littel GIRL you have' to the mother of the child dressed in camo, with hiking boots on who is playing with an airplane, say something like 'What a sweet little CHILD you have'. It's not that hard, really.
I agree, I didn't cut my son's hair until he was 3 as well, and I only got him a trim in layers. Partly because I had to stop and think about all these things we start doing to our children from birth: circumcising, piercing our little girl' ears, cutting our boys hair,etc...I mean why are we doing these things? Because we're supposed to? Says who? I just took a stand against cutting his hair and said to myself "If God wanted his hair short then it would just stop growing. He has gorgeous long hair- he's a BOy and he knows he's a boy. He understands the difference and if someone did compliment him as a girl he would definately speak up for himself and say "I'm a boy- I just have long hair". Now he's an aspiring actor and the agents LOVE his look!
