Sometimes kids need a little inspiration in the potty-training department, especially if there's no big brother or sister to lead the way.

The potty-training classic Everyone Poops has been a big hit in our house, and there are lots of other potty-training books for kids out there.

Begin Smart just released two new gender-specific, lift-the-flap, colorful board books -- Pete's Potty and Lily's Potty -- to encourage kids to get going.

I haven't seen these books myself, so I'm not sure how good they are, but they might be worth checking out at the bookstore.
