Flickr photo by Guillermo"I'm the worst mom!" I can't tell you how many times I've heard my friends say that. But they can't be the worst mom because I am. And often the things we lose sleep over end up being good (or at least not so bad) for our kids. Here's proof.

  • Miriam Starobin, a kid who just saved her friend's life, says she learned how to do the Heimlich maneuver from an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants (you know, the one where SpongeBob uses the Heimlich to dislodge a clarinet from Squidward's throat). Yeah. So anyhoo, watching cartoons saves lives. (But chewing gum is bad -- that's what Miriam's BFF was choking on.) So get your toddlers started on TV now and they'll end up being doctors. -- The Bad Moms Club
  • One really "bad" mom weaned her toddler from breastfeeding but continued to let him have a bottle every night so she could get a good night's sleep. And then, because she was in a fun mood one day, she bought him some strawberry milk, forever changing the course of her son's life -- he became a pink milk junkie. She wasn't as concerned about the milk as she was about her toddler's teeth. She had pretty much checked herself into Bad Mom hell by the time she visited the dentist, who told her that her kid's teeth were fine. (But chewing gum is bad.) -- Babble
