Mom Confessions: My Son Calls Me By My First Name

It's time for a Mom Confession -- because, let's face it, we're real mothers and sometimes it doesn't work the way the parenting books say it should.

This Week's Confession:

"I let my four-year-old son call me by my first name. None of this 'mommy,' 'mama,' 'mom' stuff for me. Some people say it has to do with respect, but I don't think that has anything to do with it -- a child can call you mom and still be very disrespectful in the way they treat you. My child is well-behaved and loves and respects me and his dad. I don't see what the big deal is."  -- anonymous

We all have secrets -- so thanks to this brave mom for sharing her honest thoughts, and thank you for keeping this conversation non-judgmental!
