Amazon; $22.49Junior Sherlock Holmes, listen up! Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and their pint-sized pal Darby have turned detective in a feature length DVD set to hit the shelves on Tuesday.
The Stir got hold of a copy of My Friends Tigger & Pooh: Super Duper Sleuths, and I sat down with my toddler for a look-see at the feature-length film based on the popular Playhouse Disney show.
The film is certainly spring-appropriate. Disney chose rabbit's garden as a perfect setting for a mystery -- and the growing veggies made for a fun conversation with my tot about planting this season.
The DVD also sports a discovery mode that turns the watching experience into something more interactive (not to mention educational), with the ability to answer questions about colors, shapes and numbers.
If you're a fan of the show, likely you'll be a fan of the movie. I admit I'm biased -- I've had a thing for all things Winnie the Pooh since I was a kid and my mom read me Now We Are Six (don't worry, it's on my list for my daughter as well).
But this is a movie for toddlers, so the best description is probably from my 4-year-old: "It was so fun," she told me. "I loved the fireflies. The turtle has a dance party in it; it's so fun."
There you have it folks -- fun is the name of the game.
