Powerful Ad Shows Parents What It's Really Like to Be Bullied (VIDEO)

It’s hard to understand what it’s like to be bullied as a kid, unless you lived through it. Even then, time and space have a way of healing a lot of wounds, so it’s easy to forget the raw physical and emotional pain of being beat up on or heckled by your peers.

Plus there’s that whole “I survived it and I’m fine” attitude that may prevent a lot of adults from stepping into the bullying bullpen. That’s the kind of attitude that this brilliant anti-bullying video is trying to counter.

It’s hard to imagine another person’s suffering without putting yourself in their shoes. This ad raises awareness of schoolyard bullying by using adult actors in business suits ganging up on and tormenting a colleague.

The video is out of France, where it’s estimated that more than 1 in 10 students is harassed, but it’s just as applicable here in the States.

Bullying should never be excused, which is exactly what happens when people turn a blind eye toward it. Hopefully this video will raise awareness of a serious issue that needs addressing.

What do you think is the best way to deal with bullies?
