Dad Shoots at Teen Daughter's Boyfriend When He Catches Them Fooling Around

OMG 63

teen signThere's probably not one parent in America who can't relate to 50-year-old Jamshid Ebrahimi. When he walked in the door of his Hillsboro, Oregon home to find his 14-year-old daughter partially clothed with a teenage boy, he kind of lost his mind. The enraged father grabbed a handgun and fired it into the floor. As the teenage boy fled, he fired another round into the air outside as the kid hauled it over a fence.

Now, the protective dad is under three years probation for reckless gun use. But if you ask him, he might say his crime was worth the punishment.

Listen -- fooling around with a gun is never a smart move. I mean, it's all fun and games until part of a teenager's foot is shot off. Still, I can't help but sympathize with the dad here. He saw red and had to do something to stop the madness.

Yes, a stern talking-to and a call to the boy's parents would have certainly sufficed, but in the heat of the moment, this father's cooler head did not prevail.

And hey, this way you can be sure that those kids learned a lesson. When dad gets out a deadly weapon, you know he's serious. Teens are really hard to get through to and, no, his fatal force is not justifiable, but you can't help but feel where Ebrahimi is coming from.

His daughter can rest assured that this won't happen again, though. Even though I'm sure she'd never dare fool around with a boy again in her father's home, the court has now forbidden Ebrahimi from owning a gun.

That boy lucked out.

What would you do if you caught your teen in this position?

i know id have a long and lengthy chat and involve the other teen's parent if need be, violence is never the answer especially in a situation like this unless its rape but even then i would never pull a gun but my husband sure would

Where does it say the boys age. I like how you automatically think its statutory rape.

I can see where he's coming from. I certainly don't condone it but I can understand it.

Saphire, if it was rape you can't bet your ass I'd be the one with a gun out, and I'd take whatever punishment the courts deemed fit, but my daughter would always know she's safe and I have her back. I'm not saying I'd kill him, but I don't he'd come away whole and not bleeding.

V_OLENCE I'd like to by a vowel, Pat. An 'I'. Sometimes violence is the answer.

At least this dad cares what his daughter is up to. Some don't and that leads to daddy issues down the road.

dad has my full support he didnt shoot the kid he just scared the shit out of him, maybe next time this boy will think, who was to say that once this girl said stop this little boy would have been able to keep his penis in his pants??  Then were looking at a case of rape.  So you decided a scared boy or a raped girl??

Um, hello, why is he going after the boy? Shouldn't he be dealing with his daughter?

He deserved more than probation.

What an idiot. A gun? really? Why not just scare the kid in a less violent way? Give him a stern talking to. Or better yet, sit down and have a talk with the daughter about what she can and can't do at that age. Discuss being safe and all that jazz. Teens like to do whatever the hell they want nowadays, and most parents don't care. Yes, this dad does seem to care a lot, but using a gun was a bit ridiculous and over the top. He should be locked up. Can't cure crazy.
