methReady for your dose of stupid for the day? A mother in Missouri is facing criminal charges after cops say she smoked meth with her 13-year-old daughter not once, not twice, but at least five or six times! And that's not the dumbest part (yeah, I know ... ). The mother's excuse for abusing a highly illegal substance goes down in bad parenting history. She told cops that "the girl would throw a fit if she didn't get what she wanted."

Funny. You know what happens when my kid doesn't get what she wants?

Sometimes she throws a fit, and I show her to her room for time-out.

See that? Problem solved with nary a tweaking ...

I would laugh at this mom's bizarre answer if it weren't for the fact that a 13-year-old has already smoked a highly addictive and highly destructive substance this many times. I would laugh if it weren't for the fact that a 13-year-old has a mother who thinks it's better to let your kid smoke meth than actually put on her big girl pants and act like a parent.

Parents who blame their own bad behavior on their kids need to step back and evaluate who exactly is the parent in this situation. Our kids know right from wrong based on what they're taught by us. If we're screwing up, the chances that they will too is pretty darn high.

Add in a history of giving in to their bad behavior just to keep them calm, and you have a child who will be completely out of control.

Clearly a mom who has meth lying around isn't exactly great shakes as a parent to begin with, so that's step one for this woman. After she gets cleaned up (which I have a feeling will happen in jail), if she's lucky enough to get her kid back, she's going to have a long, long road ahead of her. You can't simply undo your kid's bad behavior when you've encouraged it for so long.

What is the craziest thing you let your kid get away with just so they didn't throw a fit? Please tell me it wasn't meth!
