Okay. It's no secret that Kris Jenner is not your typical mom. There are times the Keeping Up With the Kardashians matriarch seems way more interested in profits than parenting. After all, you have to be a little cutthroat to become the world's greatest momager. Still, a lot of folks (not just her fans) would say she is a loving, supportive parent. Though, they may question that after hearing Kris' recent, mean jab at 15-year-old daughter Kylie Jenner.

After Kris picked up a new iPhone 5, Kylie playfully poked fun at her mom's color choice, which turned out to be a surprisingly touchy subject. Sister Kendall tweeted about the exchange: “Kylie: ‘mom why would you get the white iPhone? black is way cooler?’ mom: *in all seriousness* ‘Kylie. Shut. The. F**k. Up.’”

Is it just me or was that response way out of line? I am sure her teenage daughter was getting on her last nerve, but was cursing at her really necessary? I have always been shocked by parents and kids who swear at each other. I remember the first time I heard it. In sixth grade, I went over to a friend's house for dinner, and while chatting with her mom, she said, "You're f**king overreacting!" Her mother's retort: "Don't be a little shit." My jaw dropped to the floor. Sure, the tone was playful but the words were awful. I don’t even know what my mother would have done if I had lobbed a s**t or a f**k her way. I could barely get away with rolling my eyes. She sure as heck wouldn't be laughing.

I just don't think it's ever okay for kids and parents to exchange profanity-laced banter. It's especially a no-no for the adults. It’s crass and rude, and teaches your child to be crass, rude, and disrespectful in return. I would think Kris would aim to be a better role model than that.
