14-Year-Old Blames President Obama for Making His Friends Gay (VIDEO)

by Jacqueline Burt on June 7, 2012 at 6:26 PM

teen gay talk show hostAs a mom, I think a little uncertainty is a good quality for kids to have. I encourage my kids to question and reflect and examine and get caught up in existential quandaries: Welcome to the human experience, guys.

So when I come across a kid like 14-year-old Caiden Cowger, who has suspiciously strong and narrow-minded opinions about something he has no experience with, I assume he picked up those ideas from some influential adults in his life. Like, maybe his parents ... not that I'm pointing fingers.

Who apparently encourage him to go on the radio and blast those opinions far and wide. See, Cowger is a talk show host of sorts, and his favorite thing to do on the air is to slam gay teens for ... being gay. And, of course, to blame President Obama for turning those teens gay in the first place.

Oh yes. I am not making this up.

Says Cowger:

I knew these kids. Some of ‘em I was friends with. I knew these teenagers when they were in elementary school. I knew them when they were in the beginning of middle school. And you know what? They were not homosexuals. They just decided all the sudden "You know what? I think I'm going to be gay."

Why they are becoming homosexuals, why they are becoming gay is because they're being encouraged by it. President Obama: "It's alright, it's okay, you were born that way!"

Caiden, Caiden, Caiden ... if only I could lock you in a room with the Complete Works of Friedrich Nietzsche for a month or so ... sigh. I can't, of course, because you're not my kid.

Anyway, that's besides the point. The point is ... I can't imagine raising my kids this way, and it really sucks that some parents insist on brainwashing their kids with the same hateful crap they believe.

Do you think this kid really believes Obama makes teens gay, or is he just repeating what he's heard his parents say?

This kid is wrong on so many levels, but isnt it stooping down to his level to blame his parents for him blaming Obama for making his friends gay?

Why would you blame his parents? Do you know them?

First Amendment, I may not agree with what he says, but I defend his right to say it. You obviously like the First Amendment too... You know blaming his parents that you dont personally know. They could be dead and he could be living with his 80yo grandfather who just may not have caught up with the times.

Well, you know what they say about assuming... Plus, what the hell is wrong with you that you go after a kid?

I think this whole out and proud and how gays are getting so much attention that it is making kids question their sexuality and wonder if they are gay because they have some "traits".  And yeah if lots and lots are your friends are all of a sudden coming out, I would be suspicious too.

Unless he's an uncharacteristicaly hateful 14 year old he has definitely heard this from some influential adults in his life, parental or not it's still not right to drown a child in hate.  And I still don't believe the current political changes are making kids "want to be gay".  Seriously, that's insane.

Ummm, sorry, but wouldn't locking him in a room to read something you believe will change him also brainwashing? He has freedom of speech, same as you. Get over it.
