Caught! We Love Eating Junk Food After Dark

Posted by Adriana Velez

massive health midnightWe loves us some junk food late at night, and now there's proof. An app called Massive Health tracked the eating habits of people all over the world to create maps showing what kinds of foods we eat at different times of day: Green dots for healthy food, orange and red for junk food. Guess what? The world is flooded in green dots first thing in the morning, and then later in the day and night, it gets orangier and junkier.

So ... at least we're staring out with a nutritious breakfast? But wow, things sure go downhill from there. By 1:00 a.m. it looks like we're all noshing on French fries and ice cream -- duh, because that's what you eat after a wild night out, right? Salad is not hangover food. Take a look.

Robin Williams Dies on Twitter in Sad but Funny Mix-Up

Posted by Kiri Blakeley
on May 22, 2012 at 2:38 PM

Twitter has killed off a long list of still-alive celebrities. Robin Williams is the latest to join RIP'd celebs like Justin Bieber, Madonna, Paul McCartney, and Axl Rose. It seems to have started when some fans confused Bee Gees member Robin Gibb, who really did pass away, with Williams, and began tweeting about his death. Seriously, people? Those two have one thing in common: Their first name. Other than that, it was Williams who scored Saturday Night Fever and Gibb who starred in Mrs. Doubtfire. No, wait. It was the other way around. I think.

Trending on Twitter after your actual death has become a sign of respect and popularity. But trending before it also has its own appeal.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Confession About Vajazzling Makes Us Cross Our Legs

Posted by Lindsay Mannering
on May 16, 2012 at 2:46 PM

jennifer love hewittIt happened a few years ago -- suddenly gluing things to your vaginal area became, like, a thing. I thought the trend wouldn't last, that it'd be a flash in the pan like those god-awful teeth grills, but here we are, many years later, and people are still talking about vajazzling. And not just people people, but famous people, too. Jennifer Love Hewitt, star of The Client List, told a reporter at the A&E upfronts last week that she vajazzled her hoohah for the special occasion.

Apparently, a couture gown and a team of hair and makeup personnel aren't enough to make one feel their pertiest. To really feel your best, you need to affix glittery rhinestones to your pubic triangle.

10 Hilarious Facebook Tips for Those Crazies on Your Friend List

Posted by Maressa Brown
on May 16, 2012 at 12:56 PM

facebook login screenAny seasoned Facebook user knows there are certain "rules of the road," if you will, when sharing via the social network. Like you wouldn't ever post something potentially embarrassing or drama-inducing on a friend's wall; you'd privately message them instead. You don't post photos of every single meal you ever cooked (or ate). And you wouldn't purposely start a comment war on almost every status update your friends write ... Right?

Oh, who am I kidding! These are rules that are made to be broken, as far as tons of Facebook users care. Still, that hasn't stopped Twitter fans from poking fun at Facebook fiends by chiming into the hashtag trending game "10 Facebook Tips," based on a not so tongue-in-cheek round-up for "Facebook power users" by Mashable. Here, 10 of the funniest (because they're true!) tips that have been tweeted so far ...

6 Celebrities Who Nailed the See-Through Trend (PHOTOS)

gwyneth paltrowDaring to bare more than a little skin in sheer clothing is a fashion risk for sure, but somehow celebrities seem to be much better at pulling it off than most of us "regular" gals. Every time I walk into a store and see a dress or shirt with some sort of sheer lining, I always think it looks so trendy and sexy. But when I try those items on, I'm quickly reminded that I'm probably better off at going with a classic option that covers me up a little more.

Oh, how I wish I had the confidence (and the body) to wear a little black dress like this one Gwyneth Paltrow donned for the launch of the new Lifetime show, The Conversation, in NYC. I'm small chested like her, so I could probably get away with going bra-less like she did. But I'm way too chicken to attempt this look for fear of having a huge wardrobe malfunction.

Sandra Lee vs. Martha Stewart: It’s the Battle of the Food Divas

Posted by Adriana Velez
on May 3, 2012 at 3:35 PM

martha stewart sandra leeIs Sandra Lee the new Martha Stewart? Both are major food personalities. Both have shoulder-length, golden hair. And both have the same taste in dresses! They've been seen wearing the same Marchesa beaded white and gold tunic. With matching golden slippers, no less!

But this post isn't about their twinsies style. It's about their twinsies careers: From housewife to food diva. Does Sandra Lee really have what it takes? Those are some big shoes to fill. Big, hand-painted, kumquat-infused, marzipan shoes using only the best ingredients. And we all know what Sandra Lee is all about. The exact opposite. The next Martha could actually be the Anti-Martha.

Brides Would Be Wise to Leave Some Sweet Wedding Details Offline

Posted by Maressa Brown

couple works on laptop togetherIt was only about a week after we got engaged when I was first asked, "So, do you guys have a wedding website we can check out?" Granted, in some of our social circles, I am the resident Little Miss Blogger, but still ... I don't think this was about that. It's more that as soon as your engagement is marked with a timestamp these days, people want information -- where, when, how NOW. And the web has made that info easier than ever to send out to friends and family/guests. (Plus, I get the feeling that oldsters who don't happen to have Facebook feel really left out when all you've done is announce your engagement so far on there. They want to know, "Where's the virtual guestbook for me to sign?!")

ADD-fueled temper tantrums from loved ones aside, it seems like there are many pros to having a wedding website ...

giuliana rancic

Even though I'm always happy for celebs when they announce their pregnancies, today I was over-the-moon excited for Guiliana & Bill Rancic after they went on Today and told the world that they are finally expecting a baby! No one deserves a child more than these two, and they were both beaming while talking about the upcoming arrival of their little one, who will be born via a gestational carrier and is due this summer.

And of course, being the fashionista that she is, Giuliana chose a trendy, sunshine-inspired look to perfectly complement her pregnancy news. Honestly -- who would expect anything less from an E! host?

10 Radical '80s Trends I Want Back!

Posted by Jill Smokler

Last week, I bought a scrunchie. Not an elastic, not a hair band, but a leopard print scrunchie, circa 1985. Turns out these things really are better for your hair than the version I have been using for the last 25 years, a lesson I learned at my last haircut. Why'd we ever scorn the scrunchie so, anyway?

I, for one, am thrilled to once again be donning a scrunchie, especially if my hair looks decent after sleeping eight hours on it. Sign me up! And how about we don't stop at the scrunchie? Here are some other '80s staples I'd love to see make a comeback ...

Bacon Reality TV Show Will Give You a Heart Attack (VIDEO)

baconBacon. It's one of America's favorite foods. It's the meat treat that tempts even vegetarians. It's smokey, it's salty, it's crisp, and some say it's bad for you (lalalala I can't hear you!). I have a very special place in my heart for bacon, right below the right ventricle, hopefully not blocking any blood flow. But you know what? I never thought I'd say this: I think our bacon obsession has finally gone too far.

I know, I said it when we got bacon-infused vodka and I sighed when I heard about the BK bacon sundaes, but that's only because I didn't see what was coming. Bacon television.
